Since 2005 when they enquired into restoring the bunker at Fort Hommet, the Shrine Committee have put in endless hours and effort to revive Hubert's seashell shrine, continuously inspired by his passion and dedication to creating a place of peace in what was once a place of war.

They continue to maintain the shrine, completing seashell artwork and and striving to improve visitor experience so that the Shrine can be enjoyed by both islanders and visitors.
